Get Involved at CVE!
CVE PATA stands for Castro Valley Elementary Parent and Teacher Association!
We are volunteer CVE families and staff dedicated to enriching everyone’s CVE experience! We host family friendly events for students, organize fundraisers to fund school activities, create a student yearbook, and build strong relationships between parents, teachers, and staff.
We are a diverse group of CVE PATA members – from working parents, stay-at-home parents, helpful grandparents, guardians, teachers, school staff, etc. We are inclusive of our families, appreciative of our community, and most importantly, supportive of our CVE students!!
Why Join CVE's Comité de Padres Hispanos?
At Castro Valley Elementary, our Comité de Padres Hispanos is a welcoming space for Spanish-speaking families to come together, build community, and have a voice in shaping our school. This group meets regularly to discuss the needs and strengths of our Latino community, ensuring that our students and families feel seen, heard, and supported.
Together, we also plan meaningful cultural events such as our beloved Día de los Muertos celebration, CVE’s Posada, and many more opportunities to honor and uplift Latino traditions. Whether you are new to CVE or have been part of our school for years, we invite you to join us, share your ideas, and be part of the heart of our community. ¡Todos son bienvenidos!
Why Join CVE’s Black, African American, and Black Family Group?
At Castro Valley Elementary, our Black, African American, and Black Family Group is a space for families to come together in community, connection, and celebration. We center the experiences and voices of our Black students and families, working together to ensure they feel seen, valued, and empowered.
We focus on building strong relationships, creating a sense of belonging, and celebrating the brilliance of our Black students through events, storytelling, and cultural recognition.
We are proud to partner with Tyson Amir and Freedom Soul Media Education Initiative's BLACK Program, which supports our school in affirming Black identity, uplifting student voice, and deepening understanding of Black history and culture.
Whether you’re looking to connect with other families, share your voice, or help plan meaningful gatherings, we invite you to be part of this vibrant and supportive community. All are welcome!
Why Join CVE’s Chinese Discussion Group?
At Castro Valley Elementary, our Chinese Discussion Group is a welcoming space for families to connect, share, and support one another. We come together to discuss the needs, experiences, and hopes of our Chinese community, ensuring that all students and families feel included and understood.
This group also plays an important role in planning cultural celebrations, such as our Autumn Moon Festival and Lunar New Year, which help bring our school community together and honor the rich traditions of Chinese culture.
Whether you're new to CVE or have been part of our community for years, we invite you to join us in building a strong, inclusive, and culturally vibrant school. Everyone is welcome!
